Cale has been a lawyer in the Civil Litigation Practice Group since joining the firm in 2009. His practice involves the representation of plaintiffs in personal injury litigation. He has successfully resolved many claims relating to serious personal injuries arising from motor vehicle accidents, slip/trip and falls, dog bites, medical malpractice claims, long-term disability benefit denials, and other negligence-based claims.
Cale also practices in the area of estate litigation where he acts for clients involved in disputes relating to estates, trusts, wills, powers of attorney and guardianship.
Cale has acted for clients in proceedings before the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, and various administrative tribunals and professional governing bodies. He will also represent athletes and sport organizations in disputes before the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada.
Cale is currently a volunteer with Law Help Ontario, a not-for-profit legal clinic administered by Pro Bono Law Ontario which provides legal advice to low-income Ontario residents. He is also the Chairman of the organizing committee for the annual Lawyers for Kids Charity Hockey Tournament which raises funds for the YMCA/YWCA before and after-school children’s programs.
Cale is a member of the County of Carleton Civil Litigation Conference Planning Committee and is a frequent moderator and speaker at the annual conference.
