KAITLIN BRENNAN

Kaitlin Brennan joined Tierney Stauffer LLP as a summer student in 2017. She returned for a second summer term in 2018 and completed her articles in 2020, where she gained considerable exposure to all areas of civil litigation. After her call to the Bar in 2020, Kaitlin rejoined the firm as an Associate in the civil litigation group.
Kaitlin is currently building a practice in civil litigation, focusing on Commercial Litigation, Employment and Personal Injury. Kaitlin works in our Ottawa office, but also travels to our locations in Cornwall and Kingston as needed to meet with clients on personal injury matters. During her articling year, Kaitlin gained significant exposure to various areas of civil litigation, including frequent appearances in the Ontario Small Claims Court and Superior Court of Justice. During law school, Kaitlin was a member of the University of Ottawa Legal Aid Clinic, in the Family Law Division, providing free legal assistance to the community. Kaitlin continues to maintain her ties to University of Ottawa Common Law Program, serving as a mentor to incoming 1L students.
Throughout her articles and summer terms, Kaitlin gained experience handling matters before several administrative tribunals, including the Landlord Tenant Board, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Social Benefits Tribunal, and Social Security Tribunal.
When she is not in the office, you will find Kaitlin teaching spin classes at a local spin studio in Ottawa, or researching the next best camping spot.
