Xiaoyu (Olivia) joined Tierney Stauffer LLP in October 2025 as an Associate in the Civil Litigation Practice Group.
Olivia is currently building her civil litigation practice with a particular focus in employment law.
Olivia recently moved back to her hometown of Ottawa after articling and beginning her career at a litigation boutique in downtown Toronto where she gained experience in labour and employment law, commercial litigation, and class actions.
She has appeared before the Small Claims Court and the Superior Court of Justice. In addition to her litigation work, she has assisted with workplace investigations and culture audits involving allegations of harassment, bullying, and discrimination.
Olivia was born in Xi’an, China and immigrated to Canada when she was three years old. She is conversational in Mandarin and works in our Ottawa office.
In her spare time, Olivia loves reading, trying new restaurants, and spending time her with friends.
