Nigel joined Tierney Stauffer LLP in 2014 after practicing civil litigation and bankruptcy & insolvency for ten years at another local law firm. He serves his clients in various forms of commercial, contract, and real property litigation, including construction liens, employment disputes, bankruptcy & insolvency matters, and home defect claims.
Since his call to the bar in 2004, Nigel has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ottawa Bankruptcy Court, the Ontario Divisional Court, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and the Landlord and Tenant Board.
Nigel volunteers his time with Ottawa of Lawyers Feed the Hungry and the REACH Canada Lawyer Referral Program. His prior speaking engagements include the 2012 CCLA Solicitors’ Conference and the Ottawa Excelling at Articles program.
