Stephen is the founder and Managing Partner of Tierney Stauffer LLP. His practice is dedicated to helping business owners and managers start their businesses with the proper structure, deal with the issues that come with growth and plan for the eventual sale of their businesses. The advice Stephen provides includes the areas of business structure, financing and succession.
Dana has been providing litigation and advocacy services since joining the firm as a partner in 1986. He has over 25 years of mediation, arbitration, trial and appellate experience. Over the course of his career, Dana has represented individuals, partnerships, small and large businesses, private and institutional lenders, chartered banks, private and publicly traded corporations, and a variety of other professionals including Real Estate Appraisers, Engineers, Mortgage Brokers and law firms.
For the last 30 years, Ian Stauffer has helped hundreds of clients who have had problems involving personal injury, insurance, employment, professional malpractice and defamation. He has worked for both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of civil litigation cases. He has extensive experience before civil juries. Additionally, Ian has mediated and arbitrated over 2,000 disputes.
Susan joined the firm in 2001 as an Articling Student. In 2002, she returned as an Associate and, in 2007, Susan became a Partner. Susan practices civil litigation, specializing in personal injury law, medical malpractice, and insurance law.
In July 2014, Michael became the newest addition to the Partnership at Tierney Stauffer LLP. Michael has been a strong member of the team since July 2006, when he joined as an Associate in the Business Law practice group. Michael currently practices in the areas of Corporate and Commercial Law and Real Estate law with an emphasis on commercial real estate and mortgages. He is also experienced in the Corporate area, helping clients with incorporations and reorganizations, professional corporations, bankruptcy and insolvency issues, shareholders agreements and shareholder’s rights and remedies.
Lesly joined Tierney Stauffer LLP in 2007, as an Articling Student, where she gained experience in all areas of legal practice. Upon her Call to the Bar in June 2008, Lesly joined the firm as an Associate in the Family Law and Civil Litigation practice groups. Currently, Lesly practices in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, employment and commercial and contract litigation. Lesly has experience handling matters before the Superior Court of Justice, the Human Rights Tribunal and CPP Review Tribunal.
Teena joined the firm as an Associate in the Civil Litigation Practice Group in 2006. Prior to joining Tierney Stauffer LLP, Teena practiced with two other local law firms where she gained experience in family law, municipal law, personal injury, accident benefits, insurance litigation and disability claims. She practices in areas of personal injury litigation, including disability claims, commercial litigation, construction litigation, contract litigation, and insurance litigation.
Cale joined the firm in 2009 as an Articling Student where he gained experience in all areas of practice. Since his Call to the Bar in 2010, Cale has been an Associate in the Civil Litigation practice group, focusing on personal injury and insurance litigation. Cale exclusively represents plaintiffs and has successfully resolved many claims relating to serious personal injuries arising from motor vehicle accidents, slip/trip and falls, dog bites, medical malpractice claims, long-term disability benefit denials, and other negligence-based claims.
Donna Robinson has over 30 years experience in the Insurance and Legal fields. She began her career as a claims examiner for The Co-operators and then worked as a litigation law clerk before entering into the independent adjusting field. As a licensed independent adjuster, she worked handling all lines of claims.
Bradley joined Tierney Stauffer LLP as an Articling Student in 2012, where he gained considerable exposure to all areas of practice. Upon his Call to the Bar in 2013, Bradley joined the Arnprior office of Tierney Stauffer LLP. He is currently building his solicitor’s practice, and is primarily responsible for matters involving wills and estates, general corporate law, residential real estate and mortgages.
Emily joined Tierney Stauffer LLP as an Articling Student in 2013, where she gained considerable exposure to all areas of practice. Upon completion of her Call to the Ontario Bar in 2014, Emily joined the firm as an Associate in the Corporate and Commercial Practice Group.
Nigel joined Tierney Stauffer LLP in 2014 after practicing civil litigation and bankruptcy & insolvency for ten years at another local law firm. He serves his clients in various forms of commercial, contract, and real property litigation, including construction liens, employment disputes, bankruptcy & insolvency matters, and home defect claims.
Catherine joined Tierney Stauffer LLP in 2015 after practicing at a law firm in southern Ontario for almost 8 years. Catherine practices primarily in the area of corporate-commercial law. After completing a Bachelor of Arts degree at McMaster University in Hamilton she attended law school at the University of Western Ontario. Catherine was called to the Bar in the Province of Ontario in 2002.

John was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1974 having graduated from the University of Windsor. His practice is restricted to the areas of civil litigation and family law where he has appeared at all levels of court including the Supreme Court of Canada. He is recognized by his peers as an expert in the field of costs. John practices law as a sole practitioner in association with the law firm of Tierney Stauffer LLP.
Orm’s practice focuses on all areas of estates, trusts, wills, powers of attorney and guardianship, with a particular emphasis on mediated and litigated disputes. He has represented a wide range of clients, including individuals, trust companies, and the Ontario Offices of the Children’s Lawyer and Public Guardian and Trustee.
Although Gail’s practice is primarily devoted to the specialized areas of Wills and Trusts, Estate and Tax Planning, Estate Administration and Wealth Management, she also devotes a significant portion of her professional time to Estate Litigation, Mediation and Arbitration.
Harold has a diverse legal practice including estate law and wills, civil litigation, real estate and corporate/commercial law. He received his law degree in 1969 from the University of Ottawa and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1971. Harold is a Vice Chair of the Ontario Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Appeals Tribunal. He is fluent in both French and English. He is also a deputy judge for the Ontario Small Claims Court in Ottawa.
